Scholarships
Student can benefit from scholarships for their UK education. Some of the scholarships can be obtained from the UK universities whereas some of them are presented by external bodies. As British Side, we always inform our students about available scholarship options and share the most updated information with them.
The main scholarship schemes presented for UK education are as follows:
- Chevening Scholarship: Chevening, Chevening is the UK government’s international scholarships programme. Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations, Chevening offers awards to study in the UK for one year on a fully funded master’s degree course.
- Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme: Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme has been carried out with an agreement between the Republic of Turkey and the European Commission in 1989. Within the scope of the program, selected scholars are granted the right to do research or postgraduate studies in a university or equivalent institution in the EU member countries for a period of at least 3 to 12 months. Jean Monnet scholarships are allocated to studies on EU-related issues within the framework of Turkey’s EU harmonization process.
- Turkish Higher Education Council Scholarships: There are several scholarships for UK higher education supported by Turkish Higher Education Council, YÖK.
- GREAT Scholarships: GREAT, GREAT Scholarships offers scholarships from UK universities, across a variety of subjects for students. Each scholarship is worth a minimum of £10,000 towards tuition fees for a one-year taught postgraduate course (for 2022 entry).
UK universities also present partial scholarship options to the international students. The value of these starts from 1000gbp to a bigger size discount of 50% of tuition fees.
