University of the Arts London is one of the largest Art and Design universities in Europe, with students from 100 different countries. According to the university research rankings in 2014 (REF2014), 80% of the research of the university has been positioned at the international level, reinforcing the strength of the university in the academic field in addition to practical education.
Established in 2004, the university includes 6 different specialist colleges with roots dating back to the 19th century: Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Arts. The school also has 4 different institutes (Creative Computing, Social Design, Decolonising Arts and Fashion Textiles and Technology). Students can obtain education in various Art and Design subjects such as Fashion, Graphics, Theatre, Film, Architecture, Journalism in these colleges located in the centre of London. Approximately 3000 different programs, including preparation programs for university education, are offered to students within these colleges.
