Manchester Metropolitan University has a proud heritage dating back to 1824. The university traces its origins to the Manchester Mechanics Institute. The university has 5 faculties: Arts and Humanities, Business and Law, Education, Health, Psychology and Social Care Science and Engineering. There are a wide range of subjects, more than 1000, offered by the university.
