Loughborough University has been named University of the Year at the Whatuni? Student Choice Awards 2020, 2018 and 2015. It has been ranked in the top 15 universities of the UK by Complete University Guide, The Times ve Sunday Times. It has also been ranked 10th in the 2022 Guardian University League Table.

About the University
Loughborough University was established as a small Technical Institute in 1909. In April 1966 Loughborough was awarded its Charter, in recognition of the excellence achieved by Loughborough College of Advanced Technology and its predecessor colleges. Then called Loughborough University of Technology, it was the country’s first technological university. It was renamed Loughborough University in 1996. Loughborough is at the heart of England in the northernmost part of the county of Leicestershire and being centrally placed, it is well served by road, rail and air. London is one-and-a-half hours away by train, Birmingham one hour and Manchester and Leeds around two hours. The University also has a campus based in London.
The university offers courses related to engineering, business, geography, political science, sports management, fine arts and design. The popular courses are finance, art design, communications and media, business and production engineering subjects. There are internet technologies, digital media, entrepreneurship and sports management courses offered at its London campus.
